Morrison County Historical Society and The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum
Description
The Morrison County Historical Society (MCHS) is a non-profit organization devoted to preserving artifacts and historical information regarding Morrison County, Minnesota, and to educating the public about the history of the county. It was founded in 1936 and its first home was in the basement of the Morrison County Courthouse. In 1975, The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum became the new home of the historical society. MCHS owns and operates this museum, which was built in honor of lumberman, Charles A. Weyerhaeuser. Mr. Weyerhaeuser, along with his business partner, Richard Drew Musser, managed the operations of the Pine Tree Lumber Company in Little Falls, Minnesota from 1890 to 1920.
