Additional Information

This domain offers two websites: The Gatehouse, "your gateway to steampunk and dieselpunk" as well as Forgotten Trek, the largest online archive for Star Trek behind-the-scenes and production material.

The Gatehouse

The Gatehouse consists of a website, blog, online magazine and forums, all dedicated to the speculative fiction genres of steampunk and dieselpunk, as well as many other things retro-futuristic.

The website offers a series of articles about the different aspects of the steampunk and dieselpunk genres, including thoughts on proto-steampunk, an introduction to dieselpunk and a summary of its quintessential works of fiction.

The blog receives contributions from several authors, all specialized in different related fields, including science, Soviet history, steampunk fashion and horror. With so much expertise gathered in one place, The Gatehouse seeks to provide "the latest in old, every day."

An online magazine entitled the Gatehouse Gazette is published through the website six times a year. This publication is "dedicated to collect reviews and interviews and essays and articles" within the scope of the steampunk and dieselpunk genres. The articles published in the Gazette are written by a group of volunteers.

The forum of The Gatehouse, the Smoking Lounge, provides room for discussion about the topics discussed at the website and blog and also hosts several role-playing games as well as off-topic and political discussion.

Forgotten Trek

Forgotten Trek is "the largest resource about the production and behind-the-scenes of Star Trek online." The websites features articles about how the different television shows and motion pictures of the Star Trek franchise came to be, including conceptual artwork and interviews with designers as David Negron, Syd Mead, Andrew Probert, Rick Sternbach and Richard Taylor.
