Tracksounds Version 1 was first published on August 20, 1998. Version 3 was published in September 1999 and moved from Yahoo/Geocities to Ballou Internet Services as web host. Version 3.5 was published on February 22, 2000. On January 20, 2001, Tracksounds moved to Hostpro as web host and review version 5.0 was launched in February 2001.

Tracksounds is best viewed with Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher. and uses the Verdana TTF as its default font. Tracksounds was created by Christopher Coleman and continues to be run under his direction.
