Dating and mental illness- Trueacceptance.com was officially launched early in 2008. Trueacceptance.com is a dating and relationships site for people with mental illness. The site was conceived of by two social workers in Albuquerque New Mexico. The site creators believe that people with schizophrenia,bi-polar and other mental health diagnoses deserve a place to find true companionship without the stigma sometimes associated with these disorders. Both of the creators of the site were working in a psychiatric clinic when the idea came about for the site. The social workers noticed that their clients were often lonely and isolated with no social outlets, and so they decided to create a stigma free dating site.
