- Joseph Cunningham
- Joseph Cunningham, Ph.D. is the curatorial director of ADA1900. He is curator of the exhibition The Artistic Furniture of Charles Rohlfs and author of the accompanying scholarly book. His prior publication Design Is Not Art was awarded the Robert Smith Award by the Decorative Art Society. Dr. Cunningham previously held the position of Curator and Department Head of the Department of Contemporary Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts. He is collaborating with the Dallas Museum of Art on the forthcoming Gustav Stickley exhibition and book, to which he will contribute an essay on Irene Sargent and the ideological foundations of the United Crafts and Craftsman enterprises.
