I specialize in mixed-media art, graphic art, web design, and fine art, and I'm trained in various art forms including painting, photography, graphic design, installation art, web design, and sculpture.
I really enjoy the level of experimentation that mixing media offers. My BFA and MFA together were a combination of Fine Art and Digital Fine Art, due to this mixing of fine art and graphic art media.
Though I started out at a very different place from where I am now, originally working as a fine artist, then turning more to work in mixed media, I have found that my desire to be able to integrate different media, particularly between fine art and graphic media, has brought me to a point in my life where I am completely fascinated with the modern day heights of communication in web design and new media. This is my current major at the Academy of Art University where I am going for a MFA in this field.
My artwork has always involved in-depth cultural research. I rummage through the remains of ancient cultures. It is interesting that, while the subject matter of my artwork is often found in the distant past, I am often searching the use of modern technology to bring the ancient stories some new life.
