- Twelve area artists formed the Arvada Fine Arts Guild in November 1959. The Guild was organized for persons interested in the study of fine arts. The membership endeavors to encourage the originality of the individual and to obtain public recognition for the amateur as well as the professional artist.
- The meetings were first held in members’ homes until the membership grew too large, and then were held in various places in the Arvada area.
