- Bat Kol Institute, founded in Canada in 1983 and incorporated in the State of Israel in 1992, is a non-profit international ecumenical association of Christian women and men who are committed to the study of Torah (the Word of God) as transmitted by Jewish traditions. Our members understand that this exercise, called Talmud Torah (the studying and doing of the Word of God), is a unique way to become a living Torah. The life and teachings of Jesus are so firmly rooted in Jewish traditions that he is a living Torah. He cannot be understood completely without an awareness of the living faith of the Jewish people.
