- Thanks for stopping by, here is a little info on us. My name is Doctor Bludzwurth and when you see my wife you can call her Mother. We have 3 boys all 14. No not triplets, we are a blended family. My son is 14 and Mother has twin boys also 14.
A few years back we really got into Halloween and things have taken off ever since. We try and add new things each year. At least we will re-work an area or two. We each have our own thing that scares us, we use those things and the fears of our 20+ helpers as our inspiration for terror. We have a small family business (building caskets)which allows us the freedom to build and work on props through-out the year. We also have some great people working for us that "create" through-out the year as well.
Some of the scares we offer: We have carnival and clown scares. We have areas with graves that have been robbed, only to lead into areas that crazy people are sawing and hacking away! We have morgue and hospital areas that have seen better days. We have voodoo haunted grave yards, and slaughter houses. We keep an escaped patient from an asylum caged. He can't seem to stop touching the electric fence. Plus much, much more. Not to mention this is all accompanied by about 20 people that bring it all to life. You are guided through the entrance only to be left on your own trying to find your way out through a maze of terror. We have Polk County Sheriffs on sight along with Davenport EMTs to keep everyone safe. We block off the street and live on a dead end so crowds don't have to worry about traffic. We found this keeps all the walkers safe. We have had gate keepers estimate that we had about 800 people through the yard on Halloween night! In 2006 we used a hand counter and clicked 620 people, plus 2 seperate people confirmed that about 200 people turned away at the last minute and wouldn't come in due to it looking too scary! Awesome! In 2007 we clicked 1406, more than double!
