The website features a comprehensive index to the historical place names of Cornwall, useful when researching local and family history; historical illustrations of ancient Cornwall; old maps and plans of Cornwall; a large number of historical texts relating to the topography, archaeology, history and folklore of Cornwall; illustrations and engravings of Cornwall; transcripts of parish and manor bounds, mostly from the 17th century; public domain photographs; a large number of high quality images of old postcards of Cornwall; and The Cornovia Press, where visitors can purchase books written by, or published by, Chris Bond. The site also includes links to well over a hundred other sites and pages containing related information, and has an RSS feed and a latest additions page to keep visitors updated. There is also 'A Cornish Wiki' which is a user-edited encyclopaedia focussing on the history, culture, language, places and people of Cornwall, and this also includes a forum.
The website was created on the 1st of November 2005 and is continually updated. In a short space of time it has become a well frequented resource for those interested in Cornwall's history and receives visitors from all over the world. It is maintained on a voluntary basis and is non-profit making.
