- The Council of State Archivists (formerly the Council of State Historical Records Coordinators / COSHRC), comprises the directors of the chief archival agencies in each of the state and territorial governments. These individuals also chair their respective State Historical Records Advisory Boards (SHRABs) as designatied by regulations of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), the grant making arm of the National Archives and Records Administration.
