If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR qualified bulb, we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.

Donate a minimum of $15 to DonateEnergy.com. With this money: You will have donated a package of four "Energy Star" approved light bulbs. These bulbs will go to a "Person in Need". (My goal is not to make a single penny on these donations. $15 will cover the cost of the four bulbs, the shipping and the handling.) For a person to qualify as a "Person in Need", they will need to take a our "Simple Ways to Conserve Energy" online class and passed the class quiz. It will be suggested that the "Person in Need" give three of the four light bulbs to three other homes who do not yet own a low energy light bulb. Essentially, at minimum, your $15 donation, you would have provided 4 homes with energy saving light bulbs. I know this doesn't seem like much. But, I strongly believe that a lot of people will give more than $15, maybe more than $100 or $1000. I believe in the power of the American people. Your small donation can make a huge difference in America.
Not only will your donation go straight to a "Person in Need", you will also earn "Energy Points". The people with the highest number of "energy points" will win a number of "Energy Saving" products. You will earn 1 point for each dollar you donate. By spreading the word, you can also "sponsor" other people to give. You will create a "downline" of givers. You will also earn a percentage of your downline's total points. Click here to see how the points work.
We intend to have, at minimum, a first place prize of "A Brand New Hybrid American Made Car". Trust me, once this catches on, I will have the car companies and many other "green" companies begging to have the opportunity to give their products in exchange for some free advertising. All of these donated prizes will go to the "Energy Point" leaders.
