Eco-Friendly Farmstays Ecuador offers bed & breakfast eco-tourism in family homes in the warm, sub-tropical part of Bolivar Province in the western foothills of the Andes. Farmstays are fun for families, great for couples or groups, safe and welcoming for single travellers.
The Farmstays project is run by local charity CRACYP, as a Progreso Verde ("Green Progress") project supporting reforestation and the local community in an agricultural area of extreme poverty but great natural beauty.
The farmstays price includes bed, breakfast & planting a tree for each night of your stay. Adventure activities & guided tours in this part of Ecuador can include rafting, trekking, photography, horse-riding, bird-watching, chocolate-making, tree-planting, etc.
The Eco-Friendly Farmstays site includes a useful ‘weather calendar’ for deciding when best to visit Ecuador and the impact the climate might have on your planned adventure activities in different months of the year.
