ABOUT CLOUD 9 SKYDIVING
Cloud 9 Skydiving, located centrally in Dannevirke, offers the only full-time Professional Skydiving Centre in Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Wellington Regions. As well as providing leading Skydiving Instruction, the company is New Zealand's only full-time importer and supplier of Skydiving equipment, and as such can provide all Skydiving customers with the most up to date safety equipment available in the world today.
As Skydiving is our livelihood, your safety is the number 1 priority. All of our equipment is 100% equipped with the latest technology in micro-computer back up systems, the CYPRES, and as New Zealand Agents for CYPRES, maintenance and upgrades are performed on a regular basis.
The names behind the company are Kate Wills & Andy Pine. We have both been Skydiving for 20 and 26 years respectively, (but no, we're not as old as that makes us seem - early starters!). Andy has done around 6,500 jumps! and Kate about 3,000. We hold numerous ratings including Tandem Master, Static-Line and AFF Instructor and Parachute Technician. Andy has represented New Zealand at World level in Canopy Relative Work Competition, and is one of NZ's foremost Display organisers. Kate has participated in a Freefall Formation World Record attempt, was NZ's first female Tandem Master and Parachute Technician, and has 100 hours flying experience behind her. We have been at the forefront of modern equipment and maintenance, participating in International Skydiving Conferences on a regular basis. We also produce NZ's only Skydiving newsletter, The Flying Pig.
