- As a member of Rob Moroso's Bush Series Racing team, Kris Van Gilder saw the importance of protecting drivers appropriately. With theories of what keeps a driver safe, Kris researched the dynamics of driver protection. He studied wrecks to see where safety equipment worked and where it failed. He dismantled, engineered and reassambled until he found the best configuration to protect drivers. Kris quickly realized that safety began in the driver's seat. Ninteen years ago, Kris started building seats, and in 2001, ISP (Innovative Safety Products) was established to bring his track-proven results to the racing community.
