Description

McGinnity's Taxidermy was founded in 1964 by George McGinnity. While doing all phases of taxidermy work, it was quickly recognized that our strong point was in doing fish. In 1970 we began creating a superior line of reproduction fish molds. Our molds were created from fresh specimens covering all species and their sizes. We embarked on a search for the best reference materials available, educating our staff in every phase of marine taxidermy.

Competitions were entered at the state and regional levels and after winning many awards we earned Certification by the National Taxidermy Association in the field of fish. Since 1970 we have accumulated an extensive inventory of Fresh Water, Warm and Salt Water fish molds. Our business was built with Quality, Customer Service & Satisfaction in Mind!

In recent years the popularity of sport fishing has increased throughout North America, even to the more remote areas of Canada and Alaska, This increased fishing pressure coupled with environmental encroachments, increased population, destruction of habitat, soil erosion, industrial pollution and urban development has greatly decreased the wild stocks of sport fish, especially those trophy size.
