Mid-County Soccer Association (MCSA)

Description

Mid-County Soccer Association (MCSA) is a non-profit, volunteer soccer league located in Prince William County, Virginia. The association has an instructional in-house program and a travel (select) program. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where kids can have fun, learn sportsmanship, and develop their skills in addition to developing soccer skills. MCSA has adopted a Code of Conduct for players, coaches, parents, and spectators. Registration in our program requires adherence to our policies and procedures.

The Mid-County Soccer Association (MCSA) offers a full range of opportunities available for soccer players, including a HOUSE (or sometimes referred to as a RECREATIONAL) DIVISION, a TRAVEL (or sometimes referred to as a SELECT) DIVISION, and a partnership with the Northern Virginia Royals and Majestics, which allows for Super Y-League play for U13-U19s, as well as, Minor League Men’s (PDL) and Women’s (W-League) teams. Collectively, these opportunities form the basis of our Player Development Pyramid. This total player development approach, and partnership is unique, in that MCSA is the only soccer club in Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area that has programs including recreational, travel, Super Y-League and Minor League adult teams all under the same umbrella. At the base of the pyramid is our foundation, where the greatest number of participants is from our House, or Recreational divisions. This is the beginning of player development, and is where we focus on teaching the skills and abilities necessary for continued development up the pyramid. The top of the pyramid is where we find our Minor League Men and Women - our program has the capacity to meet every player's goals.

The MCSA House Program is for players ages Under-4 to Under-19. For the Spring 2006 season, players must be born between 8/1/86 and 7/31/02. The specific age groups are based on a seasonal year starting on August 1
