Minidisco was opened in 1997, by a man down on his luck who was experimenting with MiniDiscs as an alternative to human contact and DAT tapes. In an effort to avoid leaving his computer long enough for it to miss him he turned towards the internet for his purchasing needs. Finding none of his needs being answered he started selling one disc at a time from a ten pack he won in a box of Ultraman Power Crunch.
