Description
This blog was launched in 2005 as a resource for those in the Higher Education community interested in online content syndication. Over time, it has broadened in focus to cover all forms of new media touching the world of post-secondary education.
It is edited by me, Dan Karleen. I am Director of New Media Products at Thomson Peterson’s. You can check out my bio on the Speaker’s Wiki. If you want to learn more, check out this interview I did with FutureOfPR.com or this one at Collegewebeditor.com. I am a founder and chair of the first virtual conference on new media in Higher Education, HigherEd BlogCon, a month-long blog-based event that drew more than 12,000 participants. In addition, I frequently present at non-virtual conferences as well. I am a member of Society for New Communications Research.
In 2005 I launched and currently help maintain a rather large directory of college and university RSS and Atom feeds, also under the Thomson Peterson’s banner.
