No Name Saloon - Bikers, Babes, Beef

Description

Pat was born in Montreal Quebec, Canada on Saint Patrick's Day, 1936. Due to the death of his father, at the age of 12 Pat had to go to work on Oil tankers, where he traveled between South America and Montreal. He had to send all of his earnings back home to his mother. At the age of 16, Pat forged his birth certificate and joined the Canadian Paratroopers during the Korean War. When he was discharged from the service at the age of 18, Pat became an elevator mechanic for Westinghouse. During this time he was able to travel from Montreal to Los Angeles, New York, then to the Northwest Territories. He was married by the age of 21, during which time he owned and ran two hotels in Daytona Beach Shores for eleven years. His wife fell ill and Pat decided to sell his hotels and bought a farm. Pat was happily married for 41 years before his wife passed away. Then in 1998 Pat decided to venture with his son into the unknown and purchase a bar and turn it into a biker bar. Pat had always had a passion for motorcycles and he felt that this purchase would be new and exciting, as well as profitable. Pat and his son, Jim Girvan had a hard time finding a name for his business and the name No Name Saloon, Restaurant and Package emerged.

For 38 years, Pat was an active member in the Masonic lodge. Then he became a member of Behia Shrine in Orlando, Florida and is currently highly involved with the Shrine. He holds several poker runs and benefits for the Shrine each year. He is also a member of the Elks, the Eagles, the Moose, the Legion, and the Stevenburger club. Pat and his new partner, Al (Chubby) DeCubellis, have high hopes of giving the world of bikers a fun and exciting place to visit during Bike Week, Biketoberfest and all year round.

Al DeCubellis, Chubby, was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1937. Al began riding motorcycles at a very young age. He went from street racing to competition riding. His first competition motorcycle was a 500 cc Indian. His first Scramble took place in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Soon after, Al bought a 650 Matchless Twin, which he rode in Munson, North Attleboro, Middleboro, and Spencer, Massachusetts. Then the Matchless was retired and Al bought a Triumph and began scrambling throughout the New England area. In 1960 Al got into a first corner pileup and sustained a severe shoulder injury, an injury which still haunts him to this very day. In 1961, due to the injury Al dropped to a 250 class where he drove a Greeves, a class which was a little less demanding. He never felt right after the accident and in 1967 he began riding in Enduros and Trials. To Al's surprise, Trials became Al's calling. In his first year of competition he landed a 5th place position in the New England Trials Championship. Then in 1968, 1969 and 1970 Al placed first in the New England Trials Championship and held a number one plate. In 1971 and 1972 Al held the number two plate. Finally in 1973 Al realized how time consuming his career was and decided that he would retire and go back to leisurely street riding with his wife and five children.
