WMKV is the nation's first FM educational public radio station to be licensed to a retirement community. WMKV entertains listeners all over the world. Operating on the campus of Maple Knoll Village, one of the nation's top-rated retirement communities, WMKV features big band music and information regarding activities and services available to older adults. WMKV has been broadcasting since 1995, and winning national and international awards for programming ever since.
WMKV is not your traditional radio station. We reach out to the community we serve, as a 'companion' to our listeners. The listener hotline, at (513) 782 - 2727, helps us learn what our listeners like. In addition to our continuous music segments, we also broadcast talk and information programming of interest to seniors, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
