One Day's Pay

Description

About Us // One Day's Pay, a 501c3 nonprofit public benefit corporation, was founded in 2002 to honor the victims, family members, and survivors of the attacks on America, as well as the rescue and recovery workers and the thousands of volunteers who gave so much on and following September 11. We pay tribute to them by working to establish September 11 as a National Day of Voluntary Service, Charity and Compassion, and by encouraging individuals, employers and groups to permanently set aside time during the week of September 11 each year to help others in need through service or other giving activities.

One Day's Pay is not affiliated with any charity or organization. Our mission is to support all worthy causes. People and organizations that make pledges on our site will not be called or solicited in any way. It is entirely up to each individual or group to investigate their own opportunities, to decide what they want to do and to plan their own activities. However, through One Day's Pay partners, many choices and ideas are presented on our Web site.

One Day's Pay is the principal organizer of "NYC Remembers," the effort specific to the New York City region, to encourager New Yorkers to observe the week of September 11 each year through voluntary service and charitable activities.
