Campaigning Direct Action Parenting Group, raising awareness and pressure for changes in UK Family Law, and investment in families and co-parenting support services. Real Fathers For Justice is also often referred to or known as as RFFJ, RealFFJ, RealF4J, Real F4J, Real Fathers4justice.

Founded in June 2005 by dedicated campaigners, UK regional coordinators and media advisor's of the original Fathers 4 Justice (F4J) campaign group after a vote of no confidence in the founder Matt O'Connor, who had single-handedly allowed the group to be infiltrated by sexist militants who were allowed to bring the group into disrepute.

The members of F4J voted across the country to continue the campaign under a new management structure with tighter control over membership and campaign direction. It was suggested that Matt O'Connor take on a different role of Campaign Spokesman and marketing, and remain a Director. Matt O'Connor refused to allow this cited "the tail doesn't wag the f**cking dog" and started to wind up the logo and copyrighted name he had sole ownership of. In a blaze of publicity and media coercion with the "Leo Blair Kidnap Plot", the F4J group disbanded. Meanwhile for 6 months prior to this the group now known as the Real Fathers For Justice continued to campaign for Family Law reform. The name had to be changed from the original F4J due to Mr O'Connor taking legal action to protect his copyright.

Contrary to media hype and also Matt O'Connor's own references to militant splinter groups and the dark underbelly akin to the Real IRA, the name Real was selected to represent that rather than the one-man marketing gimmick of F4J Logos and copyright, this groups represented the mass of real fathers who struggle and campaign to protect their parenting roles and responsibilities, and this is the real group that represents them.

Today Real Fathers For Justice is an open and accountable peaceful direct action campaign group whose aim is to highlight the need for radical Family Law reform fit for the 21st Century families who rely on it in times of family change. It is a members group with active on-line forum and regional meetings.
