Roeder Performance Machine has been in business for over 15 yrs., located in the small eastern Iowa town of Plainfield (Horton). The company was started by Jay Roeder and is currently owned and operated by Jay and his wife Amy.
Originally named Roeder Motorsports in the late 1980's, the business was mostly concerned with providing the best quality speed parts available at the best prices in the area. During this time , Jay was Drag Racing on the NHRA and IHRA Stock Eliminator circuits when time permitted , along with building Racing Engines for a select few local racers. As time passed it became obvious that the market of selling speed parts and trying to compete with the GIANT mail Order companies was not in the future plans, at least, not by itself.
As Jay began to build more and more Racing Engines , the future started to become more clear. Disgruntled by the lack of quality automotive Machine Shops in the area, and, having a back-ground in Tool & Die making, machinery operation, and growing up at the races, the decision was made. Jay purchased equipment and Roeder Performance Machine was born!
