- Santosha Yoga has a long history in Ottawa. Santosha Yoga was originally established as a Sivananda Yoga Vedanta affiliated by Marcia Solomon and Barry Gillespie on Rosebery Avenue. Today, Santosha Yoga is owned by David Jewitt, a long time practioner of Yoga. Santosha Yoga has evolved to include the teachings of several styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, Hatha (in many forms), Yin & Meditation, Pre/Post-Natal, and traditional Mysore. Complimentary disciplines such as Pilates are also practiced. In 2005, an additional studio location was opened, giving Santosha the opportunity to expand offerings and class times to suit the needs of more students.
