Scholars for 9/11 Truth is a non-partisan society of experts and scholars who are exposing falsehoods and revealing truths about 9/11. Our function is like that of accountants or auditors and analogous to that of "Consumer Reports". We are conducting our own research to determine whether or not the government's account is true.
Sometimes you may find points in lectures, articles, or studies that have been superseded by more recent research. That is exactly what ought to be expected, given the nature of scientific inquiry. All scientific research, including ours, is based upon the available evidence. What is reasonable, acceptable/rejectable on the basis of evidence e1 at time t1 may turn out to be unreasonable/unacceptable/unrejectable based upon evidence e2 at t2. Strictly speaking, the sole official positions of the society are those we have advanced in our press releases and other S9/11T society communications.
Moreover, we have no privileged access to truth. Presumptions about what is or is not "true" depend upon the state of our knowledge at the time. It follows that, even if a position appears to be true (or to be false) at one time, it may not preserve that status in the future. If it is true and if the evidence upon which it is based is authentic, then there tends to be a convergence toward the same conclusions as true (or as false) with the accumulation of evidence. If we only put up studies on our site that could not be false, we could never begin, because from scratch we have to try to figure things out. The coherence of our findings is a measure of their truth, where we are guided by the principles that define inference to the best explanation.
If some specific points in various studies are not completely accurate or correct, it does not mean that we have lost our way or that our research is unworthy. On the contrary, our task is to learn from our mistakes, which requires that we continuously subject our findings to reappraisal based on the latest relevant evidence. When new evidence or new hypotheses become available, they deserve consideration. So if you find one point here and another there that you think is wrong, realize that this is to be expected in context of our research, which is continuous and on-going. It merely reflects the tentative and provisional character of scientific reasoning.
