The Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys® is a division of Educational Insights, the worldwide licensee for the Sea-Monkey brand. Educational Insights originally acquired the Sea-Monkey retail license in November 1995 and obtained the option to buy in September 2000.

The Amazing Live Sea-Monkeys became a separate entity in 2001 to better respond to exploding national and international market growth. As a separate division, it can better exploit opportunities as master licensee, providing for international sales expansion, extending product categories sold under the Sea-Monkeys banner and increasing existing sub-licensing activities.
