Primarily A Cappella is the world's oldest and largest company specializing in all styles of unaccompanied vocal harmony. We are involved in many aspects of the a cappella music scene - from recording the best of the new vocal bands, to making the music more accessible thru our mail order catalog, along with producing a cappella music festivals and events around the country. Our goal is to expand the growing world wide interest in this wonderful art form. By discovering new talent and developing larger audiences, we hope a cappella will find it's rightful place as a significant contributor to the greater world of music.
Our efforts have been rewarded in recent times with the national media giving attention to the growth of a cappella. The New York Times, in a full page article, dubbed it "an a cappella renaissance" and feature articles have also appeared in the Washington Post, Boston Globe and the San Francisco Chronicle. National Public Radio (NPR) taped the 1997 A Cappella Summit and turned it into two one hour specials called "Vocal Kaleidoscopes" (which was broadcasted again nationally in Dec '98). CNN also covered the A Cappella Summit and broadcast a segment worldwide. The NBC "Today" Show also featured the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival.
