If I find myself look at the ABOUT section of a website, I'm usually happy to read the history of the site. The people have been good enough to put the details there - I'll read them. This page will be updated very infrequently, but the most recent additions will be at the top of the page. Updates further down the page may not make much sense any more, but I'm going to keep them there as a point of reference for myself and anyone else that may have enough lunchtime left to be interested :)
After early confusion and over-restrictive review requirements, the site levelled off in the Christmas period of 2001 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.
Nearly two years the site's been going - more than 400 members, 200 news articles and thousands and thousands of pages viewed (averages about 15000 per week). Not bad for something put together one quiet afternoon at work using PHP-Nuke.
