Ride #39: Thanks, Yeah, I'd Like to Hang Onto That...
Last night I went out for the big hill ride again. Mostly the same crew as last week, plus Ernie Papa Wheeli. Well, if you're familiar with the phrase, "having your butt handed to you," you'll understand the title of this post. ;-)
Last week was better (for my pride, at least), as leaving ahead of them gave me a boost from constantly thinking they were going to catch me. This week, I left with them and was dropped on the first big hill. All the males actually stopped at the top to pee — sorta weird? — so I actually beat them to Cossaduck.
I've been joking around with the guys at Mystic Cycle about beating Graham to the top of Cossaduck one time this year, but I really have my work cut out for me. I was a couple minutes ahead when I reached the base of the hill, and I felt like I was climbing and might actually stay with or catch up to the main group after reaching the top.
