 ABC's

Write down each letter of the alphabet on an index card and everyone has to name something that has to do with a baby, or baby item the person who gets them right gets to collect the cards at the end of the game. Whoever has the most cards wins a prize.

 Baby Bingo

Take a piece of paper and divide it into 9 sections with the one in the middle marked BABY (for the free square) Before the Mother to be begins to open her presents, everyone must write in each square exactly what she thinks she will be receiving from any of her gifts. (they must be specific). As Mom to be opens her gifts, guest X the box they have correctly guessed the article, etc. The first person that fills her card wins a prize. The first one with "Baby Bingo" wins.

 Baby Birthday Card

Pass out blank cards to each guest, with the envelopes numbered 1 to the number of guests (say 16). Each guest can write a birthday card to the baby for that year of his/her life. (i.e.. for 16 "you're learning to drive this year!") It's a great gift for the baby, especially if older relatives are present who can then be remembered years later.

 Balloon Babies

Divide your guetss into teams of 5 and give each team a balloon! Ask them to transform that baloon into a baby using yarn, diapers, tape, baby cloths, markers to draw faces, etc. Give a time limit. Have the Mom-to-be choose her favorite as the winner, or hold up each one and have everyone vote (but no voting for your own baby!).

 Nursery Rhyme Pictionary

You need a chalkboard, a big dry erase board, or a big pad of paper mounted in a way that everyone can see it for this game. Divide the room into two teams -- split the room down the middle, or do the men vs. the women for a co-ed shower, etc. Ahead of time you will need to make a stack of cards (cut them out of paper) with a nursery rhyme or song title written on each one. Each team picks a person from their team to "draw" what is written on the card while their team tries to guess it. They cannot use letters, numbers or say anything outloud while drawing -- only pictures! Each team has 3 minutes to try to get their team to guess as many cards as they can. You can do several rounds of this depending on how many nursery rhyme titles you have. The team to guess the most wins. This is a lot of fun! Give the winning team members a prize -- I found some cute pencils with baby feet printed on them to use as prizes for this game at a party supply store.

Here are some ideas for the nursery rhymes: Old King Cole, London Bridges, Hot Cross Buns, Hey Diddle Diddle, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Little Miss Muffet, Little Jack Horner, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Pat-a-Cake, Little Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue, Three Blind Mice, Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Rock-a-bye Baby, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, What are Little Boys Made Of?, Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Hickory Dickory Dock, Jack Be Nimble, etc.

 Name that Baby Song!

Give everyone a sheet of paper and pencil. Give them 3 minutes to name as many songs as you can that have the word BABY in the title!

 Don't Say "Baby"!

Every guest gets a diaper pin to wear on his/her clothes. Everyone tries not to say the word "baby" during the party. If you catch someone saying the "B word" then you get to confiscate their pin! At the end of the party, the one with the most pins wins.

 Hide the Baby

Hide one mini plastic baby inside the party cake. The guest who gets the cake that has the baby in it wins a prize. Be sure to tell all your guests before they start eating that they may find a baby hidden inside (so no one accidentally eats it!)

 The Name Game

All the baby shower guests are asked to take letters from the mother's name and the father's name and create a name for the baby. The winner can be based on the funniest name, or whoever comes up with the most names.

 Door Prize Game

As guests arrive they are handed an envelope and asked to write their address on it. It is then put in a basket. One envelope is drawn, and the winning guest receives the door prize. Then the envelopes (already addressed) along with the thank you cards are given to the mother, making it very easy for her to send.

 Baby Food Taste Test

Buy eight jars of baby food - cereal, fruit, veggies, and meat. Cover the jars with foil and write a number on the side of each jar. Pass out plastic spoons, paper plates, and paper and pencil for each player. Ask players to write the numbers 1 through 8 around the outside of the plate. Pass around each jar of baby food and have players drop a spoonful next to each number. They must taste the globs and try to identify each flavor. Remove the foil to reveal the answers. Whoever has the most correct answers wins a prize. You'll get some funny faces during the tasting so keep the camera handy! Top

 Baby Guessing Game

A volunteer will have a card with a baby items name printed and taped to his or her back. Each guest is arranged around the room in a circle and the volunteer will walk around the circle and take hints from the other guests. He/She only gets two tries for the correct answer. If the volunteer guesses correctly they win a prize.

 Baby's name

Take the baby's name and put at the top of a piece of paper. Make copies and give one to every guest. Give the guests a minute or to to make as many words out of the baby's name as they can.

 Baby Socks Matching Game

In the center of the room, place a pile of (separated) 10-15 pairs of baby socks (solids, patterned, and different sizes). Each guest gets 10 seconds to match them. The guest with most pairs of matching socks wins a prize. (* the more patterned socks, the harder).

Also, you may want to ask each guest via their invitation to bring in a pair of baby socks to save on party costs). At the end, the mother-to-be takes home all the socks.

 Baby Tic-Tac-Toe

Hostess provides a sheet of paper and pencil for each guest. Each guest draws a tic-tac-toe board and fills in each space with a word pertaining to a baby. The hostess calls out words that she has previously prepared. As she does, the guests mark off their game sheets. The first guest to have three in a row wins.an)
