- Since WinXPcentral's inception, there have been more than 20,000,000 eyes satisified with WinXPcentral in its various incarnations. WinXPcentral began back in July of 1997 when Dave Dracoules had the ambition to create an informative web site concerning Microsoft Windows--the site back then was called Windows 95 and Beyond. He found himself providing his readers with more and more information concerning Windows, and renamed the web site to Windows 98 Central. We worked as Win98central for several years until we decided that unifying all the sites was a much better solution than trying to manage 3 big web sites at once. Thus, by combining win98central.com, winmecentral.com and win2kcentral.com, WinOScentral.com was born. In August of 2003 we decided to move to a better sounding domain name (wino's central wasnt a great domain name in retrospect) and switched to WinXPcentral.com. In the very near future we will reveal a brand new domain name that will once again extend our coverage into the next Windows platform.
