* Not sure, but this [http://www.aboutus.org/index.php?title=LabeillePublishing.com&curid=2944218&diff=3057202&oldid=2986164&rcid=50554 diff] seems a little suspect. Removing Content

  • What are the guidelines - for maintainers - for situations where someone removes content for a domain? For example: an anonymous edit (82.233.204.83) was just done and removed all of the content for Itool.net. My assumption: someone that is associated with that domain just doesn't want their info on AboutUs, but this could also be someone being malicious. --MarcusMalcom 16:20, 10 September 2006 (PDT)
We've been assuming it is the owner who doesn't want their information up there. The plan is to have an owner authentication mechanism in place shortly. --User:Ray King | talk 22:20, 10 September 2006 (PDT)
  • Looks like an anonymous edit is happening from 67.165.68.130. The bot or the user is putting the external link on pages where it doesn't belong (at least that's my take on this). The link is http://www.pghmovers.com/apartments.html. In fact, the bot/user has done this for a lot of pages. I would like to get a thumbs up or down on this and then I can start cleaning up the affected pages.
Since this is an anonymous edit and might be a bot, how do we go about stopping this from happening? Should we block the IP? Try and contact the person responsible?
Now I see, yes, the pghmovers guy is adding lots of external links to various related pages, but the way he is doing it, I'd have to call it link spam. It's relatively easy to revert, so I just reverted them all --User:Ray King | talk 22:56, 10 September 2006 (PDT)
