Celebrating our 15th anniversary, MATV is chartered to be a public, educational, & governmental access cable TV center by providing training, video production equipment and facilities, and 3 local channels of TV programing produced about, by, and for elected officials, students, teachers, parents, non-profits, churches, seniors, youth, and the residents of Malden.
The mission of Malden Access Television is "to build community through media". MATV is a community media center located in Malden, Massachussetts. The center provides access to media production equipment and training. Local residents, organizations, elected officials, and educational institutions are empowered to use the electronic mass-media as a tool for community-building.
Since the center opened its doors in 1989, MATV has become a place where people from all sectors of the community learn and work together to express their views, share their knowledge, explore their cultures, entertain, inform, persuade, and encourage citizen participation in community life.
