Score For the Future
Score for the Future, the Three Stars Inc. charity football league, benefited the local March of Dimes chapter, an organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
For six weeks in early 2009, the employees of Three Stars Inc. participated in an intra-company flag football league in which each point scored generated a five dollar pledge from the company’s executives to a charity fund. The season’s championship game was played Friday March 20th at the Smith Center in Orlando. By the conclusion of the game, the company’s athletes raised in excess of $2000 for the March of Dimes.
The Three Stars Inc. event served as the launching point for the annual March for Babies event on April 25th at Lily Park in Maitland. The company built baskets for mothers of premature babies that contained all of the essentials needed to care for the newborns. The baskets were assembled by Three Stars and was donated during the march along with baskets from other organizations, groups and individuals.
The March of Dimes raises millions of dollars each year to support all-important research into preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects; to educate women on ways they can increase their chances of having a healthy baby; and push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children.

Month of Miracles
In December 2008, Three Stars Inc. produced a miracle for the residents of Ivey Lane Homes on Christmas Eve. The company collected toys all month from employees and their families and friends for its first annual Month of Miracles toy drive.
In the days before the event, Three Stars Inc. secured a list of volunteers and sorted more than 1,200 toys into age groups. On Christmas Eve, volunteers arrived in the neighborhood to set up tables and hand out toys while Santa Claus was standing by to pose for pictures with the children and their families.
