About Me? Well, I'm 32 years old (July 4, 1973), happily married, and a professional Web Developer for a very large web site. I started dabbling with the web in 1994 when BBS's gave way to the World Wide Web. I've always loved creating things that were dynamic, interactive and creative. For me, Web Development is the ideal marraige of creativity and technical thinking. Though sometimes more of one over the other will drive you insane. There are days when I long for a much simpler time when I was but a dish washer for J. Gregory's Pizzeria. A place I spent six years including 8th grade through 12th grade and beyond. But I digress.
As a writer, I try tell interesting stories that are driven by great characters. I'm a huge fan of comic book style fiction where the charactes are larger than life. Most of my fiction is fantasy, science fiction, or horror (sometimes called genre fiction or speculative fiction). I also write reviews (books & movies), articles and essays, most of which focus on either writing or web development. Some of my work has been published and I hope to get a book published this year. I also write a poem now and then.
My business card says "Web Developer / Writer". My two passions (Web Dev and Writing in case you weren't paying attention) have crossed on one huge project that's bigger than I ever imagined it could be. Lit.Org - a Community for Readers and Writers is a site I built nearly six years ago. Prior to that it was a personal site called the Alter of Ink. Lit.Org has nearly 1000 registered author's and over 3000 works posted online. Thousands of lines of code, over 10 re-designs in six years, 30,000 page views a month, nods in Time Magazine, The Huntsville Times, Inscriptions Magazine and more. Yes, I'm proud of my baby. It's all grown up now.
