- A couple of weekends ago we went camping, and we had *good times*. Friday we went up to New London for a gig. It was nice because it’s an outdoor fancy shmancy dancin’ gig. We (me and the other older band wives) had cocktails, cheese and crackers, and watched our men. After that (and the best pumpkin ice cream) we headed up to Crawford Notch and stayed at the Highland AMC Lodge. It was very nice. Usually you need to get 2 nights when you go up, but because it was Thursday when I ordered and Saturday was totally booked they let us stay for one night. It was 6 miles away from the camp ground and I would definatley think about going and staying there again. With your room you get dinner, breakfast and equipment usage as well as different activities and guided tours. I want to go up in the winter to go snow shoeing, cross country skiing and animal tracking.
