He grew up in a family with 4 sisters and spent the early years of his life living in one bedroom with his parents and 3 sisters. Six in a room. They were very close in those days, literally. Nina is from New Jersey, a Slovak-American. Lorrin met Nina sunning on Ala Moana Beach in Honolulu in the spring 1976. After 5 years of being with each other daily, they married in 1981.
