- This final chapter in the series comes to you straight from driving home in what will hopefully be our final snowstorm of the year. Ten inches or greater of snow and ice that dropped onto New England this past weekend came in quickly and violently, swiftly turning what had been dry clean roads into treacherous pathways of hard-packed snow. As was the usual case, my little Swedish car did just fine as long as I was able to maintain momentum. Traffic lights and people who are too afraid to drive were the bane of my existence.
