search engine results

I know, it sounds vain, but I did a search for myself (Anthon Pang), and one of the results was my AboutUs user page.

The only thing is that the Google search result (page 3) had an odd looking URL. Where did the amp, lt, br, and gt codes come from?

Anthon - we had a misstep back in late March, when we did a site update, and Google indexed it for a couple of days... we think that is what happened, and if you edit your page.. we hope the problem will go away.. Does that make sense? Best, MarkDilley

User account hacked

Hello. I would like to know if it is possible to see a list of all the ip's who have logged in into my user account (User:Arheoinvest). Sometimes a month ago, my email address was broken. From it, the hacker found the password for my AboutUs user account, and made a change to my user page, replacing the content with obscenities ([1]). Besides the AboutUs user account, he also broke my Youtube and several other accounts, and in all of them he inserted obscenities and insults. The hacker's IP would certaintly stand out in the list, as I have only logged in to this account from a single IP (including this moment), that is the IP from http://arheoinvest.uaic.ro/ (i.e. http://194.176.166.139/). AboutUs Search not indexing some of my pages

Sometime after Midnight, May 19th, the LegalClosing page was finally added to the AboutUs search index. I wish I knew who or what made it happen; was that you Mark Dilly? Thank you, AboutUs!

I have a growing number of pages at AboutUs. Two of them were added to the search index very quickly, but others have not been added. I'd like to learn how to "encourage" the search robot to add these pages to the index. The first one that I am concerned about is LegalClosing.com. None of the appropriate search terms show up when entered into the search box.

Please explain how I cen do this for now and for my other pages and whenever it may happen again in the future.

Lastly, is there a spell checker that I can use to double check and correct the spelling on my pages? I've been copying my pages to a regular text editor, fixing the errors and then pasting it back into my pages. This is a clumsy way to do it. Do you have a solution?

Thanks! I have edited the page to mark it is no current website. I removed the adult content tag as well. I will not fully delete this page from AboutUs.org; unless I personally see a need to. Have a great evening!

I am concerned that AboutUs.org is using other people's websites (in my case, without their knowledge) to build their own site and placing 'nofollows' on *ALL* outbound links to these sites. Your thoughts?

login name

My login name and passwords never log me in. If I try to use the same words to "sign up" as a new member, I'm informed they already exist. In other words, I have to sign-up as a new member (Clyde List, Clyde Raymond List, Clyde Hob List, so far) every time I log in.

Did you give an email when you signed up? Did you confirm that email? If yes to both, you should be able to have your password emailed to you. If not to either question, then you will need to establish a new account. TedErnst (talk) 13:34, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
