Hi
 +
I was an employee for 5 years at Curves in Florida. I was a member for 5 months when the owner called me and asked if I wanted a job. Of course I
 +
agreed, even tho the pay wasn't much, it was enough to supplement my social security, and I would be able to work out for free. When I had joined Curves, I was asked by the owner how long I had been trying to lose weight, and I told her I had been trying for over 45 years.  So she knew of my prolonged weight problem long before she hired me.  I went on the Curves diet, cutting way back on my carbs and eating more proteins. I lost 18 lbs and 18 inches, but this caused and electrical problem in my heart, and I had atrial fibrillation. After a week in the hospitalI went home on a series of medicines to slow down and regulate my heart. I went right back to work, and although it was awhile before my doctor let me work out, I still did my job, I encouraged my girls and when they lamented because they hadn't lost weight, I encouraged them to keep it up because they were staying healthy.  That was in 2004. Right up until last month I always had a good rapport with my members, and developed a great relationship with them all.  Om October 27th my boss called me in and fired me.  I couldn't believe she could be so shallow, because the members got the impression that our boss is prejudiced against overweight girls, and that's what we were all there for. That's why they accepted me so quickly because I was "one of them, not a Barbie doll" My boss has lost a lot of members in the past month, even though I begged the girls not to quit, they

told me they didn't feel comfortable there any more, and at least a few didn't

renew their prepaid year. They went to Curves to relieve their stress, and it

was now intimidating.  Needless to say, she is having a hard time replacing me,

as I was always the loyal employee, covering for any of the other girls in

emergencies. I have also spoken to her about selling the supplements that were out of date maybe this is why she is getting rid of me. She doesn't even have a license to sell them. So you see, I don't think it's fair what she has done to me, and I am contemplating going to the board of health about the supplements, and getting a lawyer for a law suit for discrimination. May I have your input please? How would it look on TV if the headlines reads

"Curves fires fat employee!" I would do this. I needed my job to survive this upset economy, I don't get much social security. Thanks for your help.

About Editing Tags

Hi,

I'm unable to edit the "tag" or keywords that I originally chose for my article. I would to edit the list of tag words, but can remember how it's done. In addition, how do you link a tag to a photo and product description on AboutUs? Can you please help?

Thanks, Rudy User:Teaandwares

website title not working?

hi i have just tried to set up a page for my website - ChristopherChalets.co.uk when I did it, the www went away but now the link in the title cant find my web site and I'm not sure how to change it! Sorry to be a pain! Thanks, Victoria

Hi Victoria. This is a larger problem than just AboutUs. The problem is that your web server doesn't recognize your domain without the www, which is a bug on your end. See this link [1] for domain tools and you'll see that they think your domain isn't resolving, just as we find with http://ChristopherChalets.co.uk - maybe talk with your web folks to make sure that this works? Can old versions of a page be deleted from the page history?

Because I'm not too happy with some personal information of mine being on one of them. --beeurd 02:11, 17 October 2008 (PDT)

Yes. Which page? TedErnst (talk) 02:17, 17 October 2008 (PDT)
The information is removed from the current revision. GalacticBasic.net --beeurd 02:30, 17 October 2008 (PDT)

Hello - we have no plans to correct this issue, thank you. :) --VartanSimonian
Thanks for pointing it out though, it is an interesting corner case! Best, MarkDilley

Quotes in section titles

You can't have quotes in the title of a section, because then editing of that section fails. --User:VartanSimonian/Sig 15:48, 21 October 2008 (PDT)

Signatures and subst

It seems if you use a template in your signature, it is automatically substed - in my case I had to create a template inside of a template to get the template to actually be included.

Google Sites

It appears that these pages cannot be edited in aboutus. I would guess that https prevents aboutus from finding the site. Any thoughts on this? -- George Campbell

Not sure what you mean, George. Could you give us a link to the page you're trying to edit? -- TedErnst (talk) 16:16, 30 October 2008 (PDT)

tried to list my site in aboutus.org

I had tried to add my site in aboutus.org but it returned to me as its not able to find the domain i entered.

My portal domain is medicalportal.asia and you can see its working fine..

kindly advise me how to solve this problem

It seems our bot doesn't recognize .asia yet. Sorry about that. You can use this link to manually create the page. -- TedErnst (talk) 09:13, 15 November 2008 (PST)
