- About The Quince
- I grew up helping my mother in the kitchen: greasing pans, mixing batters, and beating egg whites were my specialty, but rolling snakes from bits of dough while she made varenyky ( pierogies) was my favourite. Okay, so making snakes didn’t exactly help her, but it kept us out of her hair and, she hoped, was starting us on the same culinary path trodden by generations of good Ukrainian women before her.
