Gayses.info is no adult content

It has been flagged twice as adult content, but it is not.

I have removed this flag again.

I have just read something about a bot flagging these kind of sites. I hope this bot doesn't flag a site as adult content only because is about gay people.

XPAntivirus

Yes, the wave finally hit AboutUs. Seems it hit Google Ads, which is kind of shocking to me. Just reporting that I got the common popup scam ad that tries to take over. It is not AboutUs' fault, I can provide links to back up sources. XPAntivirus is one of the most annoying recent ads on the internet that sends constant popups and takes over computers.

The amount of times this ad is being seen is less and less, soon it will be non existant. But just reporting I saw it, and was a flash ad o_O (didn't know the sidebar was flash, usually it's text google ads; probably a fault google's end if it's suppose to be text). Well. I just confused myself and probably wrote this very unclearly...I better stop now.

Does ABOUTUS.ORG not exist anymore????

Since two days I can't log in as a member. You don't acknoledge any member any more. GOOGLE does not know you any more. YAHOO knows you, but does not open websites via ABOUTUS.ORG but redirecting to open sites directly. No information about the problem at ABOUTUS.ORG !

New look doesn't show text well

The default home page for AboutUs.org has a nice design, but the font used makes it very hard to read. The menu on the top left for About Us Home, Random Page, Recent Pages and Need Help all are almost unreadable in IE7 and Firefox 2.0.13.

Even the text below this screen that says Please read this before contributing to About Us is next to unreadable.

You really should think about changing to a more legible font before you lose visitors. If I can't read the page I surely won't stay long.

How to report scam/spam websites?

Hello,

My question is: How can you report know spam/scam websites so they are marked as such, or better even removed from aboutus.org?

I have received a scam from EasyNameSale.com, they have pretended to be a buyer of a domain name I am trying to sell, but it turned out they just wanted me to buy a domain name appraisal from them.

I almost went for it, but when I saw the poor design of the site, I did some research about it and found articles on several websites about them and their scams.

In the emails they were using aboutus.org as a reference for positive feedback, and it is true - the comments you can read about hem are all positive here?! Obviously the comments are fake, I doubt they actually have happy customers...

Hi, if you think there is some website involved in scam activities, you should simply go to the relevant AboutUs page for that domain and add {{PossibleScamSite}} template to it which will display a notice on top of the page. Also, you can use InfluenceUs tool to leave feedback for the company. But please remember that your feedback should be constructive, i.e., it should be written in a way that helps the company improve its services. Let me know if you have any questions.
